February 16,  2017
GFTO has announced several new shows for the first half of 2017.  We'll be headed back to the Classic Fest at Nelson Ledges and returning to The Lovin Cup in Rochester.  We'll be traveling out to Niagara Falls to play the Evening Star Concert Club and over to Youngstown to play a show under the stars.  Jimmy, Chris, and John will also be doing a special acoustic trio show as they gather with Yes fans in Brooklyn, celebrating the induction of Yes (finally!) into the Rock and Roll hall of Fame.  More shows are planned for later this year.

After taking some time to pursue other projects, the members of GFTO are back in rehearsal for a series of upcoming shows.  Watch this page for announcements in the coming weeks!

A new show in Akron, Ohio has been announced for May 9.  We are working on a Rochester show for May 8--more info very soon!  GFTO returns to Nelson Ledges for the annual Classic Fest weekend in June.  More details on that soon as well.

New shows in Rochester (April 11) and Cleveland (April 25) have been announced, plus our regular appearance at the Nelson Ledges tribute weekend, Classic Fest (June 14).

Summer is here and that means GftO returns to Nelson Ledges on June 8 for the annual tribute band weekend.  We've also announced our Cleveland and Detroit shows for the fall.  See the Shows page for more info.  More shows to be announced soon!

It has been a fantastic year for the band and we would like to thank all of you who have come out to the shows in 2012. It is a pleasure and a privilege to play this great music and to have such supportive fans.  We will be announcing shows for spring 2013 in early January, so please check back. Fall shows have been announced for Cleveland (November 30) and Rochester (December 1).  The fall show will be devoted to Yes music from 1972, including Close to the Edge, Fragile, and "America" along with other Yes music and a few surprises.  John's new solo guitar CD is available here and at all shows.

Just a reminder that the summer shows in Cleveland, Chicago, and Chapel Hill are fast approaching. We're really looking forward to this late-August tour!  We'd also like to announce the release of John's solo guitar CD, Live at Eastman. It features five Steve Howe pieces, plus Jimmy and Chris joining in for a completely acoustic version of "Your Move" (in addition to other great music). Order your copy here.

Summer dates have now been posted and plans are being made for fall 2012.  We're especially delighted to be performing at EthelFest (August 25, Chicago) and at a ProgDay PreShow (August 31, Chapel Hill, NC), as well as returning to The Winchester (August 24, Cleveland) and Nelson Ledges Quarry Park (June 9, Garrettsville, OH) for the big tribute band weekend.

Going for the One is back on the road in 2012 for shows in Rochester, Buffalo, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Chapel Hill. There are a several more in the works, so stay tuned!

We are happy to announce several shows for 2012.  More are in the works and will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.  We will continue to feature Close to the Edge, but for shows at those venues at which we have already performed that album once, expect a few surprises the second time around!

Fall shows for 2011 are posted--more to follow!  The new show will feature the Close to the Edge album; fans can also expect songs drawn from the 1977-78 era as well.  The last performance of the complete Yessongs will be in Pittsburgh on September 9.

If you haven't had a chance to catch the Yessongs show, the last performance of Yessongs will be on September 9 in Pittsburgh.  We'll post more fall 2011 shows soon, as well as the theme of the new show.  We've got some very exciting things in the works!

The band has wrapped up its shows for 2010 and we're delighted at the support we have enjoyed from our fans and friends around the country. Thank you very much for making this a wonderful year for us!  Watch the shows page for new dates in 2011.

In case you haven't seen it yet, Matt Riddle is featured in this month's Keyboard Magazine.  You can see an online version of the story here.  It's especially thrilling since the issue is a special one devoted to Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson.

We've just announced one more show for 2010: we'll be sharing the bill with Heroes for Ghosts, A Pink Floyd Tribute, at the Water Street Music Hall in Rochester, NY on December 10.  We're also delighted to have been invited to perform at this year's Rites of Spring Festival on May 20, 2011, in Gettysburg, PA.  Watch for more 2011 shows to be posted here soon.

Two new shows have been added to the fall schedule.  We'll be in Boston on November 5 at The Magic Room Gallery in Brighton.  Ticket info here.  We'll also being doing a YesSchool event at the State University of New York at Geneseo on December 9.  This show is free and open to the public and will include a pre-concert talk on the sound and structure of Yes music.  More info here.

We're proud to announce new shows in Buffalo (Oct. 2), Cleveland (Oct. 9), and Rochester (Nov. 6), with a few more pending for fall 2010.  These shows will all feature The Yes Album in its entirety.  Please pass the word and stay tuned for more announcements! 

In addition, please check out the new videos on the video page (Matt on his gear, John plays "Clap" and "Mood for a Day").  We plan to keep adding new items every couple of weeks, so stop back often.

As you can see, the new webpage is now up and running.  We'll be making regular additions to the content, so please check back often.  The MySpace page is still active, as is the Facebook group page.  If you haven't joined the Facebook group, please join us there as well!

We're excited to be featuring The Yes Album during the 2010-11 season.  We'll be playing the entire album, including "A Venture"--a track you don't hear very often but an overlooked gem.  We'll still be playing music from other Yes albums to round out the show, with maybe a surprise or two--you'll have to come out to the show to find out more.
